Samsung Washer Error 4E / 4C: No Water Supply Detected
Samsung washer fails to sense incoming water stream into tub within initial set period.
How to reset or clear this error:
Check that the Samsung washer's wall tap is fully open and the rear hose isn't kinked before unscrewing it to clean the inlet mesh filter. The 4E/4C warning clears as soon as the sensor detects normal water flow.
Common symptoms:
- Machine attempts intake but no water enters drum
- 4E or 4C code flashes
Probable causes:
Wall supply faucet is turned off or house pressure is low.
Small mesh filter at rear inlet valve connection choked with debris.
Hose crushed against wall or inlet solenoid failed electronically.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Ensure supply tap is turned fully counter-clockwise. Check rear hose is free of sharp kinks.
Close tap, unscrew hose at top rear of washer. Pull out mesh filter screen with pliers and scrub under running water with a toothbrush.
Reinsert mesh screen, hand-tighten connection, open tap, and start quick rinse cycle to confirm water entry.
If tap is wide open and filter is clean but 4E continues, the internal dual inlet solenoid valve needs replacement.
