AEG Washer Error E10: Water Inlet Fault
Triggers when the AEG washer fails to reach the required water level within the time limit set by the control electronics.
Common symptoms:
- The program does not start and the drum remains empty
- E10 code on display
- The washer beeps intermittently
Probable causes:
The washer is not receiving enough flow because the tap is not fully open or house pressure is low.
The filter at the rear hose connection is full of limescale or particles, reducing flow.
The valve coil has lost its magnetic field and does not open the water passage even when powered.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Fully open the tap feeding the washer and confirm other taps in the house have normal pressure.
With the tap closed, unscrew the hose and remove the mesh filter with tweezers; clean it under running water with a small brush.
Refit the filter and hose firmly tightened, open the tap, and run a short program to verify it fills without errors.
If E10 continues after checking pressure and cleaning the filter, the inlet solenoid valve needs technician replacement.
