LG Washer Error OE: Water Drainage Issue
Indicates the LG washing machine failed to drain water within the allowed timeframe.
How to reset or clear this error:
Unplug the LG washer, open the bottom-right service flap, and drain the drum through the emergency hose before cleaning the filter. The OE warning only clears once the sensor detects the drum is empty.
Common symptoms:
- Cycle stops with water inside drum
- OE code flashes on screen
Probable causes:
Debris stuck in bottom filter prevents the pump impeller from turning.
The rear hose is crushed or the wall drain pipe is obstructed.
Pump motor winding is burned out and needs replacement.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Unplug electrical power. Place a low tray and towels by the bottom door.
Open hatch, remove black drain tube, drain water into tray. Unscrew main filter counter-clockwise and clean thoroughly.
Inspect inside the filter cavity with a light and spin impeller manually to verify it moves freely.
If error persists after filter cleaning and hose checks, the drain pump motor assembly requires technical replacement.
