Balay Oven Error E05-32: Temperature Probe Fault
The E05-32 code on a Balay oven appears when the probe measuring the cavity's internal temperature sends an out-of-range reading, and the oven halts cooking as a protective measure.
Common symptoms:
- E05-32 appears on screen and the oven shuts itself off
- Food comes out undercooked because the cycle stops early
- The cooling fan keeps running non-stop after the alert
Probable causes:
Cooking for several hours straight at high heat, or running back-to-back programs without letting the oven cool, can trigger a temporary thermal protection even when the probe is working fine.
The probe on the interior rear wall deteriorates over the years, or its connector loosens from vibration and heat.
In fewer cases, the board itself misinterprets an otherwise valid signal from the probe.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Turn off the oven, unplug it, and wait at least 20-30 minutes with the door open so the cavity and probe cool down before reconnecting it.
Turn the oven on at 150-180°C for 10-15 minutes with no trays inside, checking whether the error reappears early or only after prolonged use.
If the alert only appears after cooking for several hours straight, let the oven cool for 15-20 minutes between long programs to avoid the thermal protection.
If E05-32 appears right from the start of cooking, with little prior use, or the oven doesn't heat at all, the temperature probe should be checked and likely replaced by a technician, who will also inspect the connector and board.
