Teka Fridge Error E10: Compartment Not Reaching Temperature
The E10 code appears when the fridge compartment fails to cool sufficiently, usually after an extended power cut or when a large amount of hot food is added.
Common symptoms:
- "E10" is shown on the display
- Food is less cold than expected
- The compressor runs almost continuously
Probable causes:
The fridge lost temperature during the outage and needs time to recover its set point, showing the warning in the meantime.
Storing hot pots or containers raises the compartment's average temperature until the compressor manages to compensate.
Continuous warm air entry prevents the fridge from reaching its set temperature.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Activate rapid cooling mode so the compressor runs at full power until it recovers the usual temperature; the warning typically clears on its own.
Remove any food blocking full closure and check the rubber gasket is clean and free of cracks.
Allow 4-6 hours without opening the door too often. The code should clear once the compartment reaches its set temperature again.
If E10 doesn't clear after several hours with the door properly closed and no new power cuts, there may be a refrigerant charge or compressor issue requiring diagnosis by a Teka technician.
