Fagor Fridge Error NT1: Refrigerator Sensor Fault
The NT1 code on Fagor fridges indicates that the fridge compartment's temperature probe isn't sending a correct signal to the control board.
Common symptoms:
- "NT1" flashes on the display or panel indicator
- The fridge doesn't hold a stable temperature
- Intermittent warning beep
Probable causes:
Internal fridge moisture corrodes or loosens the small sensor connector, intermittently interrupting the signal.
The component has reached the end of its service life and consistently gives erratic or null readings.
The circuit interpreting the probe signal is damaged, triggering the warning even with a healthy probe.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Unplug the unit for 5 minutes and reconnect it to force a control board restart before checking components.
Locate the probe on the inner rear wall, dry it with a cloth, and check the connector is fully seated with no visible corrosion.
If NT1 persists after drying and reconnecting the probe, its resistance should be checked with a multimeter or it should be replaced; an inexpensive part, but best fitted by a refrigeration technician.
