Candy Washer Error E03: Water Drain Problem
The Candy washer signals it could not complete draining the drum within the estimated time, almost always due to a clogged filter.
Common symptoms:
- E03 shows on screen or program lights blink
- Drum is left with standing water
- Pump can be heard straining without success
Probable causes:
This is the most common Candy fault: the filter accessed via the front hatch accumulates fibers, pet hair, and coins.
The hose gets pinched between the washer and kitchen cabinetry when the unit is pushed back into place.
The pump motor has lost power or seized internally and requires replacement.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Disconnect the Candy washer from power. The hatch is usually at the bottom right; place towels underneath before opening it.
Turn the filter slowly counter-clockwise and pull it all the way out. Clean it under running water with a small brush, removing lint and trapped objects.
Pull the washer slightly away from the wall to check the hose isn't crushed. Plug it back in and try a short spin cycle.
If E03 keeps appearing after cleaning the filter and clearing the hose, the Candy drain pump needs to be checked or replaced by a professional.
