AEG Dishwasher Error i30: Overflow Protection Triggered
AEG's Aqua-Control safety system has detected water in the base tray and triggers an emergency drain to prevent flooding in the kitchen.
Common symptoms:
- i30 appears on display with a continuous beep
- Drain pump runs non-stop even with the door open
- Program won't start even when pressing Start
Probable causes:
A worn tub gasket, hose, or circulation pump slowly lets water escape into the bottom of the machine.
Using hand dishwashing soap instead of dishwasher detergent creates foam that overflows into the base.
A large plate blocking the spray arm deflects water out of the tub.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Unplug the dishwasher and immediately close the water shutoff valve under the sink.
Pull the unit out, place towels behind it, and tilt it backward about 45 degrees for 1-2 minutes to let trapped water drain and the safety float drop.
Wipe out any unsuitable soap residue from the tub with a damp cloth and make sure to use only dishwasher-specific tablets or detergent next cycle.
If i30 reappears in following cycles even with correct detergent, there is a real leak at the pump seal or an internal hose that requires professional repair.
