Zanussi Dishwasher Error i10: Water Inlet Fault

Appears when the Zanussi dishwasher does not complete the initial water fill within the time allowed by the program.

15 estimated minutes Basic Difficulty (DIY)

Common symptoms:

  • The cycle stalls right after starting
  • "i10" appears on the display
  • The usual filling sound is not heard

Probable causes:

Tap closed or very low water pressure 50%

The appliance cannot fill the tub because the supply tap is closed or has almost no pressure.

Clogged inlet filter 30%

The small filter at the water connection accumulates limescale, drastically reducing available flow.

Faulty inlet valve 20%

The solenoid valve does not open properly even with the tap open and correct pressure.

Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):

1. Check the tap is open and pressure

Fully open the cold water tap under the sink and check another tap in the house has normal pressure.

2. Clean the hose filter

Close the tap, disconnect the inlet hose, remove the mesh filter, and clean it with a brush under running water.

3. Reconnect and run a test cycle

Refit the hose firmly tightened, open the tap, and start a short program to confirm the tub fills normally.

When to call a professional technician?

If i10 does not clear with the tap open, normal pressure, and a clean filter, the inlet valve is faulty and needs technician replacement.
