Whirlpool Dishwasher Error F6E1: No Water Intake
Indicates the Whirlpool dishwasher failed to detect enough water intake within the allowed time, stopping the cycle.
Common symptoms:
- Cycle fails to start or stops early
- F6E1 code or combined warning lights flash
- No sound of water entering when cycle begins
Probable causes:
The under-sink tap is not fully open or mains pressure is too low for the fill sensor to register.
The small mesh filter at the inlet hose connection collects limescale or debris, reducing flow.
The valve that admits water fails to open electrically even when signaled by the control board.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Make sure the under-sink tap is fully open. Turn on another kitchen tap to confirm normal water pressure.
Close the tap, unscrew the inlet hose at the appliance or tap end, and pull out the mesh filter. Brush it clean under running water to remove limescale and debris.
Check that the inlet hose is not kinked, crushed by the cabinetry, or twisted when the dishwasher was pushed back into place.
If F6E1 persists with the tap open, normal pressure, and a clean filter, the inlet solenoid valve is not opening electrically and needs technician replacement.
