Candy Dishwasher Error E1: No Water Entering the Tub
The E1 code on a Candy dishwasher means the appliance doesn't detect the expected water level in the tub after the normal fill time has passed.
Common symptoms:
- The program stops shortly after starting
- E1 on the display or all indicator lights blinking
- No water intake sound after pressing Start
Probable causes:
The tap dedicated to the dishwasher was accidentally closed while cleaning under the sink cabinet.
The filter where the hose connects to the water supply accumulates sediment that reduces flow.
The valve that should open the water pathway isn't receiving power or is mechanically stuck.
Safe Inspection Checklist (Check off when completed):
Fully open the water tap under the sink and check that the inlet hose has no kinks blocking water flow.
Close the tap, unscrew the hose at the tap side, and pull out the small internal plastic filter to clean it with a brush under running water.
Hand-tighten the hose firmly, open the tap, and start a short program checking whether you hear water entering within the first minute.
If no water enters at all with the tap open and filter clean, the Candy dishwasher's inlet solenoid valve needs replacement by a technician.
