The OE code on LG washers means the machine failed to drain within 10-12 minutes. Most of the time it's simply debris clogging the drain pump impeller. Follow these simple steps before paying for a repair service.

- Towel or rag
- Shallow container for water
- Flathead screwdriver
Step-by-Step Resolution

1. Unplug power and open the bottom service door
Unplug the machine. On the lower right front corner, open the small filter flap door.

2. Drain water manually using the emergency drain hose
Pull out the small black rubber tube, remove its stopper, and let water drain into a container.

3. Unscrew the filter cartridge and clean the pump impeller
Turn filter counterclockwise to remove. Clear coins or lint. Check with your finger that the inner impeller spins freely.
